Francisco Munoz Training courses for Hippotherapy at Beginners
and Intermediate level are conducted every six months. The course
is conducted in Spanish.
The prerequisites for the course are: Candidates must be minimum
of 18 years of age; Basic horse riding ability; Completion of
required application; For therapists: Certificate or studying
PT/OT/MD, psychologist, special educator, kynestiologist Tuition
fee US$250.00 include breakfast and lunch - 4 days during the
course.
A certificate is issued on satisfactory completion of the course,
accomplishing the regulations of the Ministry of Health.

OF CHARTERED PHYSIOTHERAPISTS IN THERAPEUTIC RIDING
The
Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Therapeutic
Riding (ACPTR) is a Clinical Interest Group of the Chartered
Society of Physiotherapy in the UK.
Full membership is open to any Chartered Physiotherapist.
Associated Membership is open to Occupational Therapists
and members of other professions. Overseas membership
is open to Physiotherapists from countries recognised
by FRDI.
Horse in Rehabilitation Courses
There are 3 levels of training offered by The Horse in
Rehabilitation Courses.
Level 1 – The Horse
A 4 day residential course designed to introduce the
use of the horse within therapy.
Level 2 – The Rider with a Disability
Entry to this course is by successful completion of Level
1. There are 2 residential units of 4 days, separated
by a period of independent study of approximately 6 months
duration.
Level 3 – Hippotherapy
Entry to this course is for Physiotherapists who have
successfully completed Level 2. Level 3 enables independent
Hippotherapy practice using the horse as a Physiotherapy
treatment. Level 3 has 2 residential modules, 2 periods
of independent study and a final practical examination.
